Work with Mason

Mason is Condux’s AI product manager in Slack. Mention @mason wherever your team is discussing a product idea, customer problem, bug, or open question.

Mason can:

  • Turn a rough idea into a clearer product direction
  • Ask useful questions and identify decisions that matter
  • Investigate the connected codebase and existing Linear work
  • Compare options and explain tradeoffs
  • Create or update a Linear issue when the conversation reaches agreement
  • Keep the discussion and its context together in a Slack thread

Mason handles product work, not software implementation. Once the work is captured in Linear, it can be delegated to the Condux delivery pipeline.

Mention Mason in a channel and describe what is on your mind:

@mason Customers cannot tell whether an import is still working or stuck. Can you help us think through the experience?

You can begin with incomplete context. Mason will help investigate and narrow the question. Screenshots can be included with the initial mention or in later thread replies.

Reply normally in the thread Mason starts. You do not need to mention him again for every reply. The thread preserves the conversation so the team can contribute to the same decision.

A Mason conversation closes after 48 hours of inactivity. Mention @mason in the channel again to begin a new conversation.

When the group reaches clear agreement on actionable work, Mason creates or updates the appropriate Linear issue. You do not need to repeat the outcome in another tool or ask Mason for a separate confirmation.

Mason will ask before making choices that require your authority, such as changing priority or assignment, placing work in a project, or choosing between materially different ways to divide the work.

  • Bring him into a real team discussion instead of drafting a formal prompt first.
  • Share the customer or business context you already have.
  • Upload screenshots when the experience is easier to show than describe.
  • Correct assumptions directly in the thread.
  • Invite the people who own the decision to participate.

The goal is not a perfectly written issue. The goal is shared understanding and a clear next step recorded in Linear.
